East Meets Pipes Organ Recital
a 45-minute mini recital, premiering two new pieces of organ music that are inspired by Ancient Chinese art and poem. The program of music is also featuring classic and character pieces by JS Bach, Sigfrid Karg-Elert, and Chelsea Chen, displaying a different aesthetic on music in spite of a similar compositional inspiration.
East Meet Pipes Preview
Join us for a new music preview workshop at the Alta Arts Center. We will premier new works written for the organ on the piano as a 4-hand performance, by composers Katy Li and Victor Cui. The created music is inspired and fused with our cultural heritage. It’s an immersive and sensational experience accompanied with live visual art and light show.
